Land means of transportation

Land transportation is the dominant form of transportation in the world. People can move about land under their own power,
either by walking or by other forms of human-powered transportation such as
the bicycle, cars, motorcycle. People also use domestic animals as a means of transportation, both for riding and for pulling wheeled wagons.

Water means of transportation

Some of the greatest achievements in transportation are the water means of transportation. Two-thirds of Earth’s surface is covered by water, so the progress of civilization is naturally tied to the ability to move over water. Water transportation has progressed from early rafts and canoes to more-complex sailing ships to today’s large passenger and freight ships. as a result, people use them not just to work but also to travel.

Air means of transportation

Air transportation reduces the time needed to travel great distances. Journeys across nations or oceans that might have taken weeks or months can now be made in a few hours. With large numbers of people traveling in airplanes, air transportation has become a major part of the world’s transportation system.

There are 3 basic kind of means of transportation all of them are very useful to transport people or equipmentsfrom aplace to another one. Also, all have advantages and disadvantages.

What are the means of transportation?

They are the different kind of vehicles that we use to move ourselves from one place to another one or to transport something.

Transportation concerns the movement of products such as a plant, factory, or work-shop or people to a destination.
Transportation may take place via air, water, rail, road, pipeline, or cable routes, using planes, boats, trains, trucks, and telecommunications equipment as the means of transportation.
